Your First Disney Trip: 9 Things You MUST DO To Have The Full Disney World Experience!

Taking a Disney World Vacation is an ideal trip for most families, but in order to get the full experience on your first Disney trip, there are some things you MUST do!

Your First Disney Trip:  Ride the Monorail

Disney World’s amazing transportation system reaches it’s peak with the Monorail!  These futuristic trains carry guests into the parks in of of the most unique and exciting ways to travel.  Whether you’re visiting a resort or just taking a cruise from the ticket and transportation center over to the Magic Kingdom, a Monorail ride is the perfect start to any first Disney trip.

Your First Disney Trip:  Stand on Main Street and Enjoy the View of Cinderella Castle

Cinderella Castle is the most iconic structure on all of Disney property!  Used in the logo and the beginning of all Disney movies, of course your first Disney trip MUST include a little time appreciating it! (Fair warning: You might just get a little teary-eyed viewing it in person!)  Take the time to walk through the castle and enjoy the beautiful mosaics and other artwork inside!  If you’re really lucky, enjoy a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table and get a view from those beautiful windows!

Your First Disney Trip:  Take a Castle Picture

The perfect souvenir from a first Disney trip is a family picture in front of Cinderella’s Castle.  Always frame-worthy, the castle picture captures a perfect memory.  Thankfully, Disney photographers are available to take a fantastic pic you can purchase or will happily use your camera to take one for you!

Your First Disney Trip:  Meet Mickey Mouse

Meeting Disney’s most popular character is usually the highlight of any trip!  Be sure to make time to get a picture with the mouse that started it all during your first Disney trip!  (Helpful hint:  You can save some time by using a fast pass to skip the wait time for meeting Mickey Mouse!)

Your First Disney Trip:  Watch a Disney Parade

Nobody does parades like Disney!  They’re full of amazing characters, custom music, and fun for the whole family.  No first Disney trip visit would be complete without taking the time to enjoy one of these fantastic parades!

Your First Disney Trip:  Eat a Mickey Shaped Snack

Just about any snack you can imagine is available in a Mickey Mouse shape at Disney World.  From ice cream bars to pretzels to cupcakes, you’re sure to find a snack to satisfy your appetite.

Your First Disney Trip:  Ride the Classics

For the full experience on your first Disney trip, you simply MUST ride the classic rides.  Take a journey around the globe on It’s A Small World.  Soar over the park on Dumbo the Flying Elephant.  Take an adventure-filled safari on the Jungle Cruise.  Spin your giggles out on the Mad Tea Party.  Float through the air on a pixie-dust covered pirate ship over London and Neverland on Peter Pan’s Flight.  No matter what you choose to ride, these classic rides truly capture the magic and fun of Disney World.  No first Disney trip would be complete without enjoying some or ALL of these rides.

Your First Disney Trip:  Do Something New

Walt Disney World is always innovating new experiences.  Some of the most amazing experiences in Disney Parks are some of the most recently added attractions.  From Pandora:  World of Avatar to the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, all of these new experiences are spectacular.  Be sure to visit some new attractions on your first Disney trip.

Your First Disney Trip:  End the Day with Fireworks

Every single night, Walt Disney World puts on a spectacular show.  Whether you’re at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios, each show is unique and amazing.  The perfect end to any day at Disney Parks is to take in one of these shows.
